Embrace Life - This video has over 11,000,000 views on youtube and if it doesn't make you stop and think about doing something for someone other than yourself I don't know what will.

You might be wondering why would I put a video like this on a Marketing tips information blog. Well it's simple when your marketing your business you need to think of others needs more than your own needs.. and you don't want to let your own needs get in the way.

A perfect example of this was a phone call that my son Matt was telling me about yesterday. He got this phone call from someone selling an ad in the local phone book, he was actually considering it when the salesman added, "well I need your decision tonite because our book goes to print tomorrow." It became very apparent to Matt this guy was under a deadline to make a last ditch effort to make a few last sales. Of course maybe it was going to print tomorrow, but the way it came across was... I need a sale from a desperate man on the phone.

Take the same situation and put a different attitude from the salesman. If he was truly thinking of his prospect, he would have said,"I understand you need more time and I'll be happy to work with you to make a sound decision for your business, it might be better to work out a plan for next year since our books for this year are going to print tomorrow."

The outcome still may have been the same, but at least the salesman would have had the door open to follow up for the next go around.

People don't care how much you know till they know how much you care.

This is a testimony from Jan C.
My husband Jim called today after meeting with his lipid specialist in Minneapolis. Once again his cholesterol numbers have significantly dropped! At the time of his cardiac arrest 20 years ago, his cholesterol was over 400. For years the number gradually went down. Two years ago it was 179 and last year, after a year of being on Vivix, it was 138. That's when his statins were cut in half. Today Jim's total cholesterol is 97.

Jim has struggled with the LDL (bad cholesterol) the most. He has a genetic condition that causes his body to produce too much of it. Originally the LDL was 240. For years he worked to get it to 140 and then to 120. It needed to be less than 100. After a year and a half on Vivix, it dropped to 90. Today it was 58 !!!!!

Jim's doctor made this comment: Nobody wants to deal with the problem. They just want to take a pill to have it go away. When that doesn't happen they get upset." He and his office staff consider Jim their poster child. Jim complies and does what's needed to be healthy, and we support him.

What Jim does each day:

It's good to note, too, that our three sons and I have supported all of Jim's efforts, and as a result we are healthier ourselves. Our family experience is proof that great health is primarily in the hands of the individual and the choices he or she makes. RAS - The Mom Factor

At the base of your brain, where all the nerve endings come together to form your spinal cord, there is something about the size of your thumb called the Reticular Formation. This is a real physical, physiological thing. Part of the Reticular Formation is the Reticular Activating System (RAS). The RAS has one job and one job only. Its job is to filter information; and it is superb at what it does. We are constantly exposed to, and bombarded by so much information, data, stimuli and even opportunities, that if we consciously tried to register it all, process it all and think about it all, we would literally go crazy. We would be in a constant state of "overload". So the RAS (which remember, is VERY good at what it does) constantly filters out "extraneous" and "superfluous" information and data. It's like a "Spam Filter" for your mind.

The crucial question then becomes: How does the RAS determine what it needs to filter out? The RAS is constantly asking three questions in order to decide what you need to know and be aware of:

1. Is it my responsibility?
2. Is it important?
3. Does it match my version of'the truth'?

Whatever information, data or stimuli you are exposed to must satisfy all three questions. It's not the best two out of three. It is not a democracy or majority rules. It must satisfy ALL THREE criteria before the RAS will allow you to be aware of it - that includes any opportunities that you come across. Lets look at the first question the RAS asks to see why you may have blind spots and can't see opportunities that are all around you.

1. "Is it my responsibility"? - Have you ever gone someplace you've never been before, in an unfamiliar part of town, as a passenger in someone else's car? After you got there did you realize that you had absolutely no idea how to find your way home? It has probably happened to most of us. On the other hand, had you driven there yourself, would you have been able to find your way home? More than likely.

Why in the first case were you clueless, but in the second case you noticed the gas station on the corner, the white picket fence, the church steeple and all the other landmarks that would help you find your way out of there? Because, in the second case you knew you were responsible for getting there and back. However, in the first case you knew you weren?t responsible, so your RAS decided you didn't need that information, filtered it out and you never saw the important landmarks that could help you find your way home. The "Mom Factor"

I would like all of you mothers reading this to think back to when your first child was an infant (I'm sure the following was true of all of your children, but think especially of your first child). They were just old enough that they had graduated from the bassinet by your bed to their own crib, in their own room down the hall. The first few weeks do you remember how you would be sound asleep in the middle of the night, and out of a sound sleep, all of the sudden you knew that you had to be down the hall checking on your child. You don't know what you heard; you're not even sure that you had heard anything; you just knew you had to be there, and in a heart beat you are wide awake and at that child's bedside making sure that everything is OK.

It's the third time that night that you have been up to check on your child. As you return to your bed, you decide that it is important for your husband to know that THIS! - IS! - THE! - THIRD! - TIME! that you have been up to check on HIS! child. So, you THROW! yourself on the bed and JERK! the covers back over to you, just to make sure your husband appreciates that this is the THIRD! time you have been up ? and your husband sleeps through the whole thing. He never heard you get up, was never aware that you came back to bed, and never even felt you jerk the covers back over.

Now, in some of your homes, later that night, the family dog starts yapping in the back yard. Dad jumps out of bed, throws open the window, shouts at the dog to shut up, comes back to bed - and Mom sleeps through the whole thing. How is it that Mom can hear a virtually inaudible sleeping baby, but can?t hear barking dogs and Dad can hear dogs, but can't hear babies? It's simple ... in your home the roles have been defined such that Mom is responsible for the baby and Dad is responsible for the dog.

Your RAS will filter out any information that you are not responsible for and make you unaware of it.

I've often heard it said that wisdom comes with age. But, that is not true. The only thing that automatically comes with age - is old. That's all you get. Wisdom comes when you accept responsibility for your life. I know 80-year-olds with no wisdom and 18-year-olds with plenty. The difference is that the 18-year-old has accepted responsibility for their life and future, but the 80-year-old is still blaming everyone and everything around them for their stature in life.

All of us spend the first nine months of our lives on a waterbed. It is warm. It is cozy. All of our needs were met without us having to do a thing. Then we are born, the doctor cut the umbilical cord, slapped us on the rear end and then 95% of us spend the next 50 years of our lives looking around for someone else we can plug our umbilical cord into to take care of us. But, it's not someone else's responsibility. And until you take responsibility for your life and future, your RAS will make you blind to opportunities around you.

As you study the meaning of this short story you will discover even though Maggie is a grown woman her mother is still teaching her lessons. Maggie describes her 84-year-old mother as living on her own, by herself, in a small town in Vermont. She has 3 grown kids (including Maggie)who live in the same town. At least once a day, at least one of the kids checks in on her. One day in the late fall she was walking down her long gravel driveway to her mailbox. On her way back to the house, she stumbled, fell into the ditch and broke her hip. She lay there for four and a half hours before Maggie stopped by on her way home from work and found her. She called 911 and got her to the hospital.

The next morning Maggie was visiting her in the hospital and this is the conversation she described. She said to her mother, "Mom, weren't you scared laying there with a broken hip for four and a half hours? She said, "Not at all. I knew one of you kids would be by." Then Maggie said, "Well, you must have been in an awful lot of pain!" Her mom said, "Maggie, when I fell, I landed right in this pile of leaves, and they smelled sooooo good!"

Finally Maggie said, "Well, you must have been freezing because all you had on was a light sweater!" She responded, "You know, every once in awhile the sun would come out from behind a cloud and I don't think I've ever appreciated sunshine as much as I did yesterday." There was nothing he could say that would bring her down. Do you think that is because she "felt" that way? Or do you think that is because that is the way she decided to live her life? It's all about the choices we make every day of our lives.

Most people decide how they are based upon the circumstances - based upon their feelings at the time. One of the most important lessons that I've learned is that the feelings follow the behavior, not the other way around. Every day we get to choose our attitude by how we choose to behave. It's very difficult to behave one way and feel another. So choose a positive attitude, regardless of the circumstances.

If you wait for everything in your life to line up perfectly so you can have a positive attitude... your job, your business, your spouse, your teenage kids - you will never have a positive attitude. What do you think is more attractive in life, business or relationships? a positive attitude or a negative attitude? Which do you think will attract more success in your life? Which do you think will attract more abundance? Which do you think will attract more people that you want to be around and want to be around you?

The next time you hear someone say, "I'm doing pretty well under the circumstances." why don't you ask them, "Well, what are you doing under there anyway?"

I know some of you are thinking, "Well, if you had everything going on in your life that I have going on in mine, you wouldn't be enthusiastic and positive either." Then you miss the point.

Attitude is a choice.

It is 5% what happens to you and 95% how you choose to respond.

Top 10 List for More Effective PowerPoint Presentations

How many times have you been the audience for a drawn-out, 50+ lifeless slide show? Or even worse, have you been a presenter and feel your lost the audience or know they are just hanging around to be nice?

Facts are, bad PowerPoint happens to good people, and quite often the person giving the presentation is just as much a victim as the poor souls listening.

Here's a top 10 list to help you add a little pizzazz! to your next presentation.

1. Write a script.
A little planning goes a long way. Many presentations are written in PowerPoint without any sort of rhyme or reason.

This is backwards. Since the point of your slides is to illustrate and expand what you are going to say to your audience. You should know what you intend to say and then figure out how to visualize it. Unless you are an expert at improvising, make sure you write out or outline your presentation before trying to put together slides.

And make sure your script follows good storytelling conventions: give it a beginning, middle, and end; have a clear arc that builds towards some sort of climax; make your audience appreciate each slide but be anxious to find out what’s next; and when possible, always leave ‘em wanting more.

2. One thing at a time, please.
At any given moment, what should be on the screen is what you’re talking about. Our audience will almost instantly read every slide as soon as it’s displayed; if you have the next four points you plan to make on the screen, they’ll be three steps ahead of you, waiting for you to catch up rather than listening with interest to the point you’re making.

Plan your presentation so just one new point is displayed at any given moment. Bullet points can be revealed one at a time as you reach them. Charts can be put on the next slide to be referenced when you get to the data the chart displays. Your job as presenter is to control the flow of information so that you and your audience stay in sync.

3. No paragraphs.
Where most presentations fail is that their authors, convinced they are producing some kind of stand-alone document, put everything they want to say onto their slides, in great big chunky blocks of text.
Congratulations. You’ve just killed a roomful of people. Cause of death: boredom.

Your slides are the illustrations for your presentation, not the presentation itself. They should underline and reinforce what you’re saying as you give your presentation — save the paragraphs of text for your script. PowerPoint and other presentation software have functions to display notes onto the presenter’s screen that do not get sent to the projector, or you can use notecards, a separate word processor document, or your memory. Just don’t put it on the screen – and for goodness’ sake, if you do for some reason put it on the screen, don’t stand with your back to your audience and read it from the screen!

4. Pay attention to design.
PowerPoint and other presentation packages offer all sorts of ways to add visual “flash” to your slides: fades, swipes, flashing text, and other annoyances are all too easy to insert with a few mouse clicks.

Avoid the temptation to dress up your pages with cheesy effects and focus instead on simple design basics:

Use a sans serif font for body text. Sans serifs like Arial, Helvetica, or Calibri tend to be the easiest to read on screens.
Use decorative fonts only for slide headers, and then only if they’re easy to read. Decorative fonts –calligraphy, German blackface, futuristic, psychotic handwriting, flowers, art nouveau, etc. – are hard to read and should be reserved only for large headlines at the top of the page. Better yet, stick to a classy serif font like Georgia or Baskerville.
Put dark text on a light background. Again, this is easiest to read. If you must use a dark background – for instance, if your company uses a standard template with a dark background – make sure your text is quite light (white, cream, light grey, or pastels) and maybe bump the font size up two or three notches.
Align text left or right. Centered text is harder to read and looks amateurish. Line up all your text to a right-hand or left-hand baseline – it will look better and be easier to follow.
Avoid clutter. A headline, a few bullet points, maybe an image – anything more than that and you risk losing your audience as they sort it all out.
Use images sparingly

There are two schools of thought about images in presentations. Some say they add visual interest and keep audiences engaged; others say images are an unnecessary distraction. Both arguments have some merit, so in this case the best option is to split the difference: use images only when they add important information or make an abstract point more concrete.

While we’re on the subject, absolutely do not use PowerPoint’s built-in clipart. Anything from Office 2003
and earlier has been seen by everyone in your audience a thousand times – they’ve become tired, used-up clichés, and I hopefully don’t need to tell you to avoid tired, used-up clichés in your presentations. Office 2007 and non-Office programs have some clipart that isn’t so familiar (though it will be, and soon) but by now, the entire concept of clipart has about run its course – it just doesn’t feel fresh and new anymore.

6. Think outside the screen.
Remember, the slides on the screen are only part of the presentation – and not the main part. Even though you’re liable to be presenting in a darkened room, give some thought to your own presentation manner – how you hold yourself, what you wear, how you move around the room. You are the focus when you’re presenting, no matter how interesting your slides are. When web conferencing pay close attention to the tone of your voice, your mannerism when you speak, the passion in your voice.

7. Have a hook.
Like the best writing, the best presentation hook their audiences early and then reel them in. Open with something surprising or intriguing, something that will get your audience to sit up and take notice. The most powerful hooks are often those that appeal directly to your audience’s emotions – offer them something awesome or, if it’s appropriate, scare the pants off of them. The rest of your presentation, then, will be effectively your promise to make the awesome thing happen, or the scary thing not happen.

8. Ask questions.
Questions arouse interest, pique curiosity, and engage audiences. So ask a lot of them. Build tension by posing a question and letting your audience stew a moment before moving to the next slide with the answer. Quiz their knowledge and then show them how little they know. If appropriate, engage in a little question-and-answer with your audience, with you asking the questions.

9. Modulate, modulate, modulate.
Especially when you’ve done a presentation before, it can be easy to fall into a drone, going on and on and on and on and on with only minimal changes to your inflection. Always speak as if you were speaking to a friend, not as if you are reading off of index cards (even if you are). If keeping up a lively and personable tone of voice is difficult for you when presenting, do a couple of practice run-throughs. If you still can’t get it right and presentations are a big part of your job, take a public speaking course or join Toastmasters.

10. Break the rules.
As with everything else, there are times when each of these rules – or any other rule you know – won’t apply. If you know there’s a good reason to break a rule, go ahead and do it. Rule breaking is perfectly acceptable behavior – it’s ignoring the rules or breaking them because you just don’t know any better that leads to shoddy boring presentations that lead to boredom, depression, psychopathic breaks, and eventually death. And you don’t want that, do you?

Business Truth about Social Media & ROI

Right now, small businesses have a huge advantage over big business in actually being able to convert social media conversations into dollars and cents. Here’s why:

Small business:

Can be less censored – They don’t have to wade through layers of social media do/don’t policy and legal sign-off on every tweet, update, post or comment. And, in social media, people respond to real and spontaneous. So, it’s much easier to build the conversation
Can have a personality – All too often, the voice of the company that filters through to social media is almost entirely devoid of personality. People connect with color, business proper gray.
Only needs to connect with hundreds or a few thousand, not hundreds of thousands or millions – If a small business connects with a few thousand people, that could make a huge dent in it’s business, making it worth the effort. A large business may need to connect with millions to feel the same impact and that may well not be worth the effort from an ROI standpoint
Can tap into local energy, events, traditions – By having a shared experience based on the local community, it’s a lot easier for people to bond with the voice of that business
Can implement instantly and tailor highly relevant offers – When it’s one person behind the mic, it’s way easier to carry on a real, spontaneous conversation and also create an ongoing series of highly local, highly-relevant and time-sensitive offers that will convert followers into customers.

Case Study: Mountainbike Madness

Mountabike Madness is a bike shop run by two college friends, Mario and Eva. It’s a real business with a great product and it’s growing nicely. But they’re always interested in finding new ways to get customers to the shop. Along with trying out street teams, the local pennysaver, mailings, sandwich boards and a bunch of other marketing ideas. Eva gets the idea to start to play around with twitter.

Actually, she already had a personal account. So did Mario, so they’re familiar with the nature of conversation in the communities, because they’re already regular users. So, they set up a Mountainbike Madness account and use Mario as the name associated with the account.

They use twitter’s search function and a number of other tools twice a day to find people in their neighborhood who either have some variation of the word bike in their profile or their tweets. They broaden it out to various forms of outdoor activities, too. They see what these potentially likeminded folks talking about, then follow them and join in the conversations they are having.

They also start to share all sorts of funny, quirky, edgy quotes, ideas, and stories. And, here and there, they throw out tweets about instant giveaways for the first person to tweet their favorite rider, grip or trail. They do daily or weekly specials on bikes, parts, clothing and other schwag. They share cool tips and riding strategies and aren’t afraid to show their personalities. They announce weekly Rave Rides where everyone has 4 hours to show at a particular trailhead for an epic group ride. And, once a month, they do a one-day 20% off twitter-only sale from the back of a truck and you have to be following them to know where it will be.

After 3 months, they can track twitter related sales to an average of 30% of daily sales and total sales have gone up 20% since starting on twitter. Not only is it great for their community, for customer service…they’re using social media to put money in the bank.

So there you have it. There are many ways to market online if you aren't considering adding social media to the mix your missing out on a big chunk of profits. Yes there is a right way and wrong way. Be sure to follow those who know how to do it the right way.

As I look over the last week in my internet marketing business, I wonder how I would manage to effectivly communicate without web conferencing. Just as many leaders use teleconferences I use web conferencing for communicating.

Last night I hosted my last web conference for the week. Right before I got started my skype started lighting up with questions about screen casting vs follow me browsing. I feel very blessed to have the ability to speak "on the fly" in my web conferences. I think it's because I do so many of them, its like talking across the kitchen table.

I quickly invited all of the "skype" questions into my conference room and started my web conference off with a lesson on web conferencing. I was suprised when many who were just asking about web conferencing decided to stay for the wellness presentation I had planned to do. This presentation happened to be a power point presentation someone has sent me and all I did was to "talk" from the slides. Very Simple.

In the VereConference web conference rooms we have the ability to record very much like a production studio. I generally let the folks attending record if they choose too, so they can go back and listen later. I record my "generic" internet marketing sessions I host in the Veretekk conference room and load them up into a podcast on talkshoe. Once in a while I'll keep a full recording (audio, video & flash) and use it for marketing, but most of my web conferences are instructional and inspirational.

Online marketers, also called eMarketers or Internet advertisers, work in a lively business sector that changes every day. Now I have always believed everyone should have a plan B. It doesn't make any difference if you are working a JOB or in your own business you should always have a plan just in case things go south... if ya know what I mean. Over the weekend I ran across an article saying 80% of "Bloggers" were making only a couple hundered dollars a month from their blog. It went on to say the only revenue they had was ads on their blog. Now I've been blogging before most "bloggers" even knew what the word meant. I've noticed many of the new "social marketers" using this exact strategy. The really sad part is many are tagging themselves as "Social Media Experts"!

Here is the trend I'm seeing. Start 1 blog, sell ads (or use a service like google adsense), build a large social network database, promote 1 blog, get excited when many people reply to a post they promote through social networking. No wonder 80% of bloggers aren't making a living!

Any smart business person knows you don't put all your eggs in one basket. Many times in my live training I use the analagy of the guy in the circus spinning plates. Start one plate get it spinning, then another, then another... knowing you need to go back to the spining plate and give em a spin to keep it going once in awhile.

Every year in the customer side of my business we experience the dog days of summer for a few weeks. This summer I'm using these dog days as an opportunity to really focus on our team SEO campaign. A few years ago I buckled down and did an SEO campaign the hard way and it took about 6 to 8 weeks to hit the top of google for my keywords. Since then I have participated on a few team SEO campaigns what a difference that makes, when everybody is working as a team! I don't remember exactly how long it took to get noticed in the Search Engines but it didn't take long.

I have learned when working as a team you must focus on what is best for the team and it's members first. At first glimpse I thought our team site RSS feed should be one link, but decided on my capture page forwarding to a rotator and our team forum instead.

Let me explain...

I know that people buy from people and they don't care how much you know till they know how much you care. Hopefully that makes sense to you. Bottom line to really have success online you need to promote yourself not the products or the company your represent. It's all about you, that's one reason social networking is working so well that many brick and mortar companies are hiring marketing people just to do social marketing for them.

So here's what we are doing on my SEO team, when someone decides to optin from my capture page they are directed to a rotator where each team members site is rotated in. This makes a huge benefit for the SEO team member. The SEO team member can take advantage of the years of experience I have online and the brand/image I've worked diligently on to create. I and the SEO team member will be working with the newest person getting them going. It's a win win situation for everyone. Over time each SEO team member will be taught to create their own brand/image online and branch off with a Veretekk Platinum Control Panel for their team.

This is has been my vision, now it's a plan that's taken action. How about you? Do you have a vision for your business? One great trait of leadership is having a vision. Here's how you do that...

Learn to paint a picture with words. Speak it. Write it. Draw it. Touch it. Whatever methods you can use to create a picture. Just do it, as they say. "A picture is worth a thousand words."

Ask a few of your team members to tell you in their own words about your vision. How close is it to what you thought they understood? Is your team on the same page as you?

As you work, your vision should be on your mind everyday. You should re-evaluate it occasionally so it stays current with the pulse of the Internet. Remember your team must be just as involved as you are with change. How about you does your team communicate daily and/or have weekly web conferences keeping everyone in the loop? Our team does.

Online Training: Social Marketing Mistakes made by New Marketers

This morning it came very apparent to me it was time to focus on educating new marketers on social marketing. I've seen several newbie marketers trying to market with out even creating a profile picture. It's really sad to see this happen. These people are following many, have very few followers and many updates. The updates are touting their business not them. Why would someone want to follow when they don't even have a profile picture or blog where people can learn more about what makes them tick.

If you saw yourself in that last paragraph here are a few social marketing tips for you...

1. Get a social networking (myspace, facebook etc..) account. Tell your story of your life and how got into your business. Do not promote your business, but do tell your story. Big difference. After you have set an account up, type in the search bar what ever your target market is. For instance if you target market (keyword) is "pets" and you are searching at "myspace" make sure on the drop down box that you click on "myspace". There are 187,000 results! There is a huge market there.

But this is only the start. Then go to (in myspace it's) "Groups" and in the search box on that page (near the bottom) type in "Pets". 114 groups waiting for you to play with them. Did you know that the "Cats Rock" group has over 50,000 members? And the "Cat Lovers" group has nearly 20,000! This is just in Myspace... there are lots of social networking sites on the Internet. Social marketing is like no cost "Worlds of Fun" playground for Internet marketers!

Now I'm sure some newbie social marketers will tell you "Myspace doesn't work!"...they are right. If you do not know how to add value to any market, your marketing efforts will not work. However, after doing some research and finding the right keyword for your target market I think you will agree this is a great way to market. Now you must learn to market by attracting them. That takes some skill.

2. Open a Youtube Account. Get a $30.00 webcam or a VereConference Room for recording. Make some videos talking about your "keyword". Tell your story about your life and how you got into your business. Do not promote your business tell your story.

3. Spend a few weeks participating in social networking communities.

4. Get a business coach or mentor. Did you know the average time to go from zero to a millionaire is 23 years. With a mentor.... 4 years.
Get a mentor. It pays to have one. I didn't say get a buddy. I said get a mentor who has already done what you are trying to do. Make sure they can give you undivided attention. This will cost you...it will be worth it.

5. Have fun! Live your success right now. If you can see nothing but success...it has no choice but to manifest. This is Universal Law.

Today I had a business associate call and talk about visiting me while she passes through Kansas next month. As our conversation progressed she asked if I would sit down with her while she is visiting and teach her some online marketing strategies. As a long time trainer of online marketing strategies I've always used web conferencing to train.

I shared with her that even my own sister who lives only 3 miles down the road from me doesn't come to my house to learn online marketing strategies. I really think you should learn in a real working environment. Our working environment is online so this is the logical place to learn online marketing strategies. If you relate this to learning to ride a horse. You can watch all the video's, read books about horse riding but sooner or later you need to get in the saddle and just do it!

Do you have a team that you would like to share your marketing strategies with? Especially online marketing stragegies? What a better place to teach but in the environment where the student will be doing it. The more I use web conferencing the more I realize I would hate to try to do a conference without it.

Yes there are still many people who teach from tele-conferences, but I'm convienced that they just haven't been educated themselves. It's just like doing anything for the first time there is always a fear of the unknown, or I think especially for a trainer they don't want to show they're weak points. Everyone when they first start web conferencing are a little unsure. The more you do it the better you get. Just like riding a horse... if you ride day after day you become pretty good.

Everyone starts out at a different place when they come online and start marketing. What I'm about to share with you is for the person who is absoultly terrified to put a written word down. I have found this little freee tool online that most internet marketers are going to great lengths to figure out how to best use it. When I first saw it I knew exactly the people it could help. This little tool is called twitter. I feel one huge value it will deliver is for people who are terrified to put a written word online.

In the Veretekk web conference rooms most "veretekkies" don't have a problem chating back and forth in the text chat area. I've noticed some of the same people who are good text chatters telling me in class they terrified of writing content. This is where twitter comes in for those who have a fear of starting to write content. With twitter you can only write 140 charaters and that's it. It's a mini RSS feed and even though I don't see it as a SEO tool, it does get spidered by google.

You be the judge, get a twitter account (twitter.com), then start logging your daily activities. Basically every time you post think of it as a friend asking you what you are doing? All you are doing is answering the question. After you answer this question several times a day over a couple of weeks it will become very routine for you. When you feel comfortable answering this question over and over, start paying attention to logging what you are doing in your business. Remember you only have 140 charaters to work with, soon you will have a hard time compressing your answers in only 140 charaters.

Little by little begin placing your business answers to "what are you doing" in note pad, or what I do is just write in edit plus where you aren't limited to 140 charaters. Keep writing your content in a conversation mode, but instead of just answering the question "what are you doing" start telling stories of what happened today just like you were telling your friend. As you progress with these short stories start placing this content in your blogfather feed.

The way I look at it some content is better than no content at all. In time as you develop a habit of writing about your business you will want to start to think about who you are writing this content for and what keywords they might search on to find your content. There are many Veretekk trainings weekly that talk about choosing your target market and the best keywords to optimize your blogfather news feed for. Remember all the training in the world won't help you if you are unable to act on what you learn.

I assume you are a serious marketer if you are using the Veretekk system. Take advantage of the power of Veretekk and do what it takes to ease your way into writing your own content for your news feed. No one knows your business like you do. Every business needs customers and most businesses will partner with other businesses as a way to expand. Bottom line every business needs people wether they are customers or business partners to survive.

It's customers not distributors.

Web Conferencing Weekly Training

Today I wanted to visit with you about the weekly trainings that I do and how important I have found it is to stay on a schedule. Yesterday when I was talking to a business associate on the phone and I mentioned my weekly training, they said just a few times a week? Obviously this person didn't know the effort that goes into preparing content of weekly trainings.

I have found hosting a couple of weekly web conference trainings per week to boost my business. People like to know that they can communicate with you and get their questions answered. Lets face it we are all creatures of habit. Look at the morning coffee drinkers. Have you ever been around one of those morning coffee drinkers when they don't get their coffee?

Tonite I will be hosting my weekly Green to Gold businesess get together. I generally have the same format every week, but the content is very different. Want to know the difference between a "goal mindset" and a "growth mindset"?

The following article is very accurate and it relates to our web conferencing training 100%. My hope is that you will take the time to read, think and decide for yourself the value.

The enemy of great is good. The primary reason so few leaders or organizations ever become great is because they get good and then stop. They stop growing, learning, risking, and changing.

They use their track record or prior successes as evidence that they've arrived. Believing their own headlines, the leaders in these successful organizations are ready to write it down, build the manual, and document the formula. This mentality shifts their business from a growth to a maintenance mindset.

Neither you nor your business ever "arrives." We never get to the place where there's nothing more to be done and nothing more to be said. In the words of my friend Dave Anderson, "Yesterday's peacock is tomorrow's feather duster."

What you strutted yesterday, the next day is just cleaning dust off of shelves.

I like to distinguish between a "goal mindset" and a "growth mindset." A person with a "goal mindset" has very tangible, numerical goals to achieve over a specific period of time. Nothing is wrong with clearly defined goals, but there's a better way of thinking that I call a "growth mindset." A growth mindset recognizes goals on the journey, but only as part of a process ... not as the end results.

When goal-oriented people hit a milestone, they have tendency to settle very quickly, but when growth-minded individuals hit a goal, they blow right on by because they're constantly learning and growing.

Success has a brutal side: It can make you arrogant, it can make you complacent, and it can close your mind. To survive the temptations of triumph, we must realize that success is not the point and should never be the ultimate objective of an enterprise.

The goal of business is to strive to reach full potential. I define full potential as focusing on seeing how far you can go, how good you can get, and how many people you can bring with you.

Reality dictates that you will most likely never reach your full potential, but the journey keeps you humble, hungry, and focused. What you become in the process helps you and your organization make the leap from good to great. Use your success as a stepping stone, not a pedestal.

Leaders of successful businesses are tempted to stop working on themselves. They continue to work hard on their job, but they have a tendency to neglect personal growth. They use their experience and track record as a license never to read another book and an excuse never to attend another developmental course in their field.

They point to their acclaim and accomplishments and decide to rely on the skills they have learned in the past to run the rest of their career. They develop an arrogance of intelligence that creates a disabling ignorance. This ignorance disables them, their people, and, as a result, their business.

Growing people grow people. But when you don't grow, you plateau. It's just a matter of time. Once this happens, you plateau everyone working for you. When I as a leader go flat, my influence with everybody in my organization fizzles and fades. When the leader doesn't grow, the people don't grow. It's the Law of the Lid; a stagnant leader stunts the growth of the organization.

Let me give you four benefits of pursuing your potential, even during seasons of success.

1. We have higher self-esteem. People that are constantly learning and growing have a good self-image.

2. We are willing to change and risk. One of the obvious evidences of growing people is that they are constantly changing and risking. Show me a person that doesn't change, that doesn't risk, and I'll show you a person that's not growing.

3. Our passion increases. When we begin to grow personally, our passion for life and learning begins to increase proportionately.

4. We lift the lid for others. What a leader does determines what everybody else is going to do. The people don't pass the leader. An organization's growth doesn't outpace the leader's progress. As I lift the lid for myself, I lift the lid for others.

One of the most amazing things to me is how much room there is at the top. On the other hand, it's jam-packed and crowded at the bottom. On the streets of average, there's traffic and congestion, but success has so few people on the roads. It's amazing how the higher you go, the less people there are.

Three percent of the people in the United States have a library card. Six percent of Americans believe Elvis is still alive. Trust me, there's a lot of room at the top.

As a leader you should learn like you'll live forever and live like you'll die tomorrow. Either way, you're covered.

If you have been into one of our web conferencing systems this week you will need to re-install the plug in. If you go to my site www.barefootsuccess.com the log in page will automatically update for you depending on your computer settings.

FOR WINDOWS VISTA USERS: By now if you are using windows vista and web conferencing services you probably have realized you must be logged in as the adminstrator to change or load any new programs on your computer. If you previously installed the plug in with our being in the adminstrator mode you must remove that program first, and reboot your computer before logging in as the adminstrator and installing the plug in.

If you are one of the smart internet marketers out there and have kept windows XP on your computer till they get all the bugs worked out of vista, you should have no problem. However if your computer settings are preventing the plug in from automatically installing go to this troubleshooting page: http://barefoot.vereconference.org

Now for the good news I can see in the horizon that soon we won't have to install any plug in. On the latest version of VereConference it utilizes java script to interface with your computer. Web Conferencing Systems as Virtural Phone Rooms

Next week will be the start of a new era for web conferencing systems, with the release of virtual phone rooms. Probably the biggest struggle for people who sell products and services from home is to stay dedicated when not punching a time clock.

Web Conferencing do you Mentally Prepare?

Got a question for you... Are you mentally preparing for your web conferences? We must mentally prepare for putting on that one of a kind web conference.

A good example of not mentally preparing for an excellent web conferencing presentation happened to me last night. I have a scheduled weekly get together with my team in my Barefoot Business Conference Center. This presentation went just as planned, prepared, and re-hearsed. It was the web conferencing presentation that came after this one that I struggled with. Let me explain...

This web conference was a group of Veretekk Trainers called together to do a web conference production for the new SOHO-matic traffic portal. I went into this web conference tired and not mentally prepared. After arriving in the web conference, even though it was late.. I got my second wind and did my 3 minute talk and it sounded pretty good.

What I wasn't prepared for was waiting for all the other 30 trainers to finish their presentation and learning that this was a "pratice" presentation. I have to be honest by the time I finished listening to all the other trainers, (some of them had took much more than the alloted 3 minutes) I was both mentally and physically whipped.

I tried to do my talk again and just didn't have it in me to preform. The moral of this story is. Don't agree to do something you aren't mentally perepared for, most of the time you will be dis-satisfied as I was last night.

I learned a long time ago in life there are no mistakes only lessons and those lesson's are repeated until they are learned. Last night I learned my lesson. I will never agree to stretch myself further then I know mentally I can prepare for.

One tool I use to mentally prepare for a web conference is music that moves me. Depending on my mood what kind of music that is. If you haven't tried music to mentally prepare you for a web conferencing event try it.. you could be suprised.

Web Conferencing.. How are your Presentations?

Today I wanted to take some time and talk about doing web conferencing presentations. This week was one of my favorite special events on television. The Country Music Awards. I look forward to these events because of the special performances. You might be wondering what does this have to do with web conferencing? When we do a web conferencing presentation it's very much like a performance. We must inspire our guests.

Our web conferencing room performance is very much like the performers on the country music awards. The performers put their heart and soul in the music they are preforming. Us as web conferencing presenters are (or should be) doing the same thing. If we want to have successful web conferences we need to be putting our heart and soul into our web conferences too.

If you want to get really good at something you must practice over and over... this is what music performers do. Look at some of the top music performers like Garth Brooks. If you have ever watched Brooks perform you know he puts his heart and soul into his performances.

One performance that stands in my mind from this week is Kellie Pickler. She was so into what she was singing that she could hardly finish the song she was completely into the song and just sobbing by the end of the song. You can't say she didn't put her heart and soul into the song.

I listened to a top network marketer a couple of weeks ago. I heard the same passion for what he was doing too. He has had a very successful career in marketing and you can tell it by the way he speaks. He has practiced what he says over and over.

Next time you decide to do a web conferencing presentaton think about some of the top performers and the time, effort, and passion they put into their performance. If you have passion and practice like they do you will end up with an excellent web conferencing presentation.

Sometimes I feel like I'm in my own little world out here on the farm in KS. Web conferencing has become such a way of communication for me. I had the opportunity this week to break out of my shell and live a day in the REAL world.

You know that song by Kenny Chensey called, "Don't Blink" I see that happening in my life. Don't get me wrong I love the world I have created living and working in my dream business using advanced communication tools like web conferencing. What I noticed also is the rest of the world offline is slowly changing too.

You guys.... I see the wave coming it's so crystal clear in my mind. Online we are paving the way to a new lifestyle and web conferencing is a big part of that path. Anything you used to need to meet face to face to do can be done in a online web conferencing system.

All walks of life are moving online now where just 6 short years ago the percentages of low income people online were in the minority. With the costs of computer equipment going down and the features going up, it makes more sense to own a computer than a television. This is one place I can see our web conferencing system's making their way into the everyday household.

It's very much like cell phones were 10 years ago... fast forward 10 years and now even little kids have cell phones. Web Conferencing announcements and events for next week.

The week of October 22 through 26th will be a full schedule for web conferencing in the Barefoot Business Webcast Center. By popular demand I've ramped up the web conferencing trainings for the next week.

Monday will start off the week with a basic walk through the VereConference Web Conferencing System this will be heald in the community room at http://www.bestconference.net time: 11AM PDT.

Daily Monday-Friday at 8:30PST will be a question and answer session for people on the Barefoot Marketing Team. Team members tell me it's nice to have some place to check in every morning and stay on track. Check me weekly event schedule for login link: http://events.barefootsuccess.net

Tuesday: I will be having a special session teaching marketers how to market using video. We will be learning how to write the html code not pay for a program to do it for us.

Thursday: We will have our Barefoot Secret business get together. This is a weekly event that introduces new marketing strategies, products, and incentives. Last week the main topic was going to Hawaii. We will continue this discussion again this week, and work on a plan of action.

Web Conferencing Systems: Importance of Calling New Site Owners..

Today I had a good conversation with a Free VereConference room owner. He was telling me he had been using our web conferencing services for about 2 months now.
This person was in the part of a new trend I've been seeing online. Brand new to business online and knows using web conferencing systems are the best way to communicate. Get this... he goes in several times a week and signs up for a new web conferencing service. Yesterday was the first time he showed up in my back office with contact information.

This is why I'm asking the Question... Is everyone calling their free web conferencing room owners when they sign up and get a new web conferencing room?

When I asked this person today how many people had he talked to about our web conferencing service. His answer was a big fat ZERO!

It's really sad when we have a powerful system such as Veretekk to use to generate our own leads and we don't even take the time to pick up the phone and call them.

Many times that's all it takes for someone to at least take the leap into a 3 person room if not a larger room. I can tell you this when I get a notice saying someone has just signed up for a free webconferencing room under my affiliate site I call them. Sometimes the phone number isn't good or isn't one that I can call and get through, but I always attempt to make the call.

You learn so much about people when you call them on the phone, you see trends in business, you learn about their products and services they are marketing and you get the opportunity to share your products and services that might fit into what they are marketing.

It's time to get brave and pick up the phone and talk to our new free web conferencing room owners.

Web Conferencing Services- A Comparasion

Earlier this week I was contacted by another Web Conferencing Service. I decided to take a look an see what they had to offer and their pricing structure.

This web conferencing room happened to be from TC Communities. The way I understand it they used to be a re-seller for I-Vocalize and then went out on their own and developed their own software.

This web conferencing service is very much like the old I-Vocalize web conferencing rooms I had at one time. The features as advanced as what we have with Vereconference nor was the pricing in line with what VereConference offers.

The TC Communities offered set pricing for a 3 seat room then over and above that you paid by the amount of seats you needed on an hourly basis. For some people that might work to their advantage, but for me it was way more expensive than my monthly charges with VereConference.

Basically TC Communities focusing on the person who is just using their web conferencing service for one or 2 conferences a week. If you look at my event schedule you will know why that doesn't come close to working for me. Here is my event schedule http://events.barefootsuccess.net

I know there are other master distributors who have done comparasions and came to the same conclusion also. Bottom line VereConference is the best value and best technology available online today.

Are you going to Catch the Web Conferencing Wave?

As we roll into September I see new faces showing up in my web conferences. I have found that marketing online and doing online training via our web conferencing rooms goes in waves. For me September has always been the start of a BIG wave. This year is no different.

I decided to back down so to speak my online trainings for a few weeks so new people can grasp what I'm teaching. In my web conferencing room (http://www.barefoot-in-the-garden.com) I have over 50 recorded trainings that will give online marketers many aspects and ideas about marketing online. It has come to my attention that many of these recorded online trainings are too advanced for the beginner.

This Tuesday morning Sept. 11 in my Veretekk Web Conferencing room I will be covering the basic aspects of blogging using blogfather from the back office of the Veretekk Gold System. I have found this the simplest way to start creating a name online. In the Veretekk Gold System Blogger many steps to creating and making your blog seen online are automatically done for you. Yes you can use one of the free blogging services, but there is a learning curve to getting them set up and seen online.

Web Conferencing News Warren Buffet values subject of Online Training

There was a one hour interview on CNBC with Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity.Stay Tuned to my online training web conferences to learn more about some of Warren Buffet's concepts.

Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:

1. He bought his first share of stock at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!
2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.
3. He still lives in the same, small 3-bedroom house in midtown Omaha,NE that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.
4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.
5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.
6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis.

He has given his CEO's only two rules. Rule number 1: Do not lose any of your shareholder's money. Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.

7. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His pastime after he gets home is to make himself some popcorn and watch television.
8. Bill Gates, the world's richest man, met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So, he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.
9. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.

His advice to young people: 'Stay a way from credit cards and invest in yourself and remember:
A. Money doesn't create man, but it is the man who created money.
B. Live your life as simple as you are.
C. Don't do what others say. Just listen to them, but do what makes you feel good.
D. Don't go on brand name. Wear those things in which you feel comfortable.
E. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things. Spend on those who really are in need.
F. After all, it's your life. Why give others the chance to rule your life?

Web Conferencing vs Telephone Conferencing

Are you in the dark ages when it comes to communicating with your team? Web Conferencing will make your new prospects turn their head and take notice of your offer.

This is the time of year that is prepare for the fall business rush. I know for the last 5 years of marketing online there is always a lul in business before the August rush. For me that is a time to prepare and line up my fall marketing campaigns.

I have one company that I promote their products and services that still use phone conferences. I've decided it's high time they made a change. The way I look at it if you want your business to look like a modern business then you need to utilize modern technology to stay up with the times. Web Conferencing is the way of group communication of the future.

It's pretty simple to find company's who are still using the old telephone conference call methods. Just do a Google search on the company and call a distributor up and ask how they get their information from their upline or even better directly from the company. This is our target market! It's the people who are in the little telephone conference call rut.

I will be traveling to Nashville in a couple of week to attend my primary businesses annual convention. You better believe I will be making the most of my conversation's with leaders in the company who are still using the old technology.

Web Conference is the wave of the future and the more we spread the word the faster all of our businesses will grow. With Web Conferencing takes away the need for personal contact. Web Conferencing the Wave of the Future

Last night I decided to listen in on a call. (Something I don't do very often) I personally think about web conferencing as what is happening now and everybody should be in on the wave of this awesome technology. Unfortunatly many main stream old time marketers still use the phone to communicate. I think it's mostly they are scared of new technology and learning how it works.

Web Conferencing for me is just a way of doing business. Personally I could give up the phone much easier than the internet. Communicating through web conferencing is much more powerful than the phone and once people realize it the wave and momentum is going to hit. I know I'll be there to ride this wave clear to shore. I really feel that within the next 10 years web conferencing will be so common in the business world saving companies $1000's of $$.

Yes in today's fast paced world there will always be a place for a phone and now with the new iphone everything will intertwine to a seamless communication tool.

I've been working on the keywords "Best Web Conference Service" since the new VereConference Rooms launched in Feburary. My goal is to make it to the top of Google for Best Web Conferencing Service and then work down to top spots in Google for web conferencing or web conference.

As most of you know I've been taking a break from my usual many trainings weekly to only 2 to 3 trainings a week.. hey what can I say it's summer time and I'm loving the time just to relax and enjoy life. The cool thing about web conferencing and our state of the art web conferencing service is the recording feature. I've been recording my web conference trainings for several months and posting them on TalkShoe. I've set my home page to these recordings.

I have always said there are no mistakes only lessons and those lessons are repeated til they are learned. I think of internet marketing as one really big test. You test and track and see what works if one test fails you tweek it a little and try again. Think about it that's really life isn't it. Sometimes these failed tests can knock the wind out of your sails, but those of us that have been around the net awhile know you just have to keep trying.

Ahh summertime is here. For me in my business I really enjoy relaxing on a hot summer day listening in on web conference room trainings. I have my web conference room trainings scheduled in the early morning hours and late evening hours just for that reason I can take a break and enjoy the warm relaxed summertime lifestyle.

I've attend a couple of html trainings this week in Veretekk that are very informative. I did record those trainings but have decided not to post them because I feel to really to take full advantage of this kind of training you need to be there live. Web Conference Room Training Canceled on Memorial Day

It's that time of year again that we remember the folks that have left our lives. It's a day of rememberance for some, for some it's a day off work, for others it's a day to spend with family. I feel very fortunate to have my own business and work my own hours, however I've decided to take a break on Monday and not host my VereConference Web Conference Room training.

This has been one of those crazy weeks marketing online. I didn't even realize this was a holiday weekend till I started posting my online web conference room trainings. I have decided to take the day off on memorial day and not host my weekly training in the Vereconference web conference room. All of my other trainings will take place as scheduled.

Here is my event schedule for the week of May 28 through June 1. Wow I can't believe summer time is here already!!

If you notice the times of my trainings I've scheduled them for spring time gardening. All of my trainings are taking place in the early morning or later in the evening. There is a reason for this my businesss is worked around my personal life and hobbies. As we get into hot summer weather those times may change. I generally spend time in the garden during cooler early morning hours or evenings.

It is important to keep regular scheduled conferences, this will help your attendance. What I do is keep an up to date calendar that is up dated weekly. I promote the calendar so if I do need to change a time or have something come up the attendees will know to check the schedule for changes.

Bottom line first if you have a web conference room you need to get a weekly schedule of events posted. I talked to someone yesterday that had purchased a web conference room a few months ago but still wasn't hosting regular events. That's like purchasing a car and never driving it.

Next you need to promote your events and get a set schedule so you can develop a following of people attending your web conferences. Then keep developing and improving your training/ events/ web conferences so you will keep attendees coming back for more.

Web Conferences are an awesome way to reach out and bring new people into your business but it's not an overnight deal you do have to work at it.

Just Purchasing a Web Conference Room will not make you money.

When I read this article I felt I needed to post it on my blog and make comments to it...

Purchasing a web conference room will not make people successful in their online business any more than simply purchasing a domain will get top positions on the search engines. As ridiculous as this may sound, very few people have the willingness to work in order to build an effective and profitable home based business. In considering the amount of money that people consistently fritter away on different software programs that they believe will lead them to the promised land of milk and honey, one would think that everyone should be successful in a home based business.

The fact is, that 95% of people embarking in the home based business arena have never been successful, nor will ever be successful. In searching for answers to this dilemma, one is led to the conclusion that either people are just plain lazy in their attempts to build a business, or in fact, they have not a clue as to how the internet works, how to obtain search engine positioning, how to build a great website or any information that they need to obtain the success they desire. If the simple act of purchasing a web conference room is all that need be done, then obviously the small amount of money needed is nothing in regards to the profit potential. Herein lies the key. One must actually learn to use the web conferencing room to be effective. The subject of the mechanics and operation of the web conference room is not the issue. The question would be, "how do I use the web conference room to make money?"

Obviously the answer to this riddle is steeped in mystery for most people on seeking fame on Google. Having a web conference room is no different than having a website. So, how does one promote a website on Google. Typing in the keyword phrase "obtain top positions on Google" will certainly bring to light the best answers to that question. Having a web conference room means nothing. Using that web conference room to speak to others about opportunities, business dealings, building downlines and other pertinent home based business matters is the key. How many are willing to actually use a web conference room to drive motivated visitors to? Not many would be the answer, just like any other program found on Google today. Google means nothing except a mass of information.

Google means everything if it is properly used to gain search positions and traffic to websites. How many choose to be successful? How many are willing to learn the systems and strategies they can use to their distinct advantage to leverage their time and efforts into a real money generating system? Not many. But this can all be changed with renewed visualization and the dreaded word called work.

Ok HERE is my 2 cents worth...

A good analogy to this subject is purchasing a telephone won't nessarily make someone call you either. You have to give people your phone number and let them know you have a phone and in a sense promote yourself as being available via your phone number.

It works exactly the same way with a web conference room. If you promote your web conference room so people know you have this tool available and promote when you are having conferences in your web conference room at least that is a start.

Topics to talk about in your web conference room is a whole different ball game. Just because you start getting people into your web conference room doesn't nessarily mean you will bring them into your business. It take time to learn the art of building relationships so they those people who attend your conferences will join you in business.

Bottom line yes any business venture you decide to promote will take work. My question to you is are you willing to do what it takes to make your business one of the 5% that does work?

One of the biggest fears in many people is talking in front of a group of people. Several years ago I had this fear. Oh man has web conferencing changed my life!

When I made the decision to step out of the box and start hosting web conferences it's wasn't and easy one. Sometimes it takes a life changing event for us just to DO IT!

What will it take for you to take action and change the results you are not having?

Over the weekend weve had bad storms here in Kansas. A small town of 1400 people was basically wiped off the map with a mile wide tornado on Friday night. We had lots of rain... our area is in a dangerous flood warning.

Ever since 911 ...
I realized life is so precious and we all need to live each day to it's fullest.

None of us really know how much longer we have on this earth. I just found out a business partner I talked to about changing to a healther lifestyle 2 years ago is dying of cancer. 2 years ago I was unable to get through to him that prevention and health was key to a long healthy life. I'm sad for this person, but at the same time I know I did everything I could have done. Then the tornado comes sweeping in and killing and wrecking peoples lives. Kind a makes me sit back and think a little.

Have you ever heard the song by Tim McGraw Live each day like you were dying? After 911, I started doing just that. I changed my outlook on life and this was the turning point in my business. I decided no matter what I was going to make my business work. Are you at a point in your business that it gets put on the back burner sometimes?

OR.. Do you have that fear of hosting your own Web Conferences? (talking in front of people)

What will it take for you to decide just to go for it? Do you have to wait for a life changing event or will you take your business in your own hands and just do it.!

I think back to when we were in high school. We thought we could tackle the world... it's that no fear attitude, we wouldn't think of the conquences we would just go for it. The excitement of the journey is so great you don't worry about the how's. It's that kind of attitude that makes a successful web conference host.

How bad do you want to host web conferences and be considered a leader not a follower. The way leaders are developed they first become good followers. Then once they have the confidence they step out of the box and start a new path and develop their own leadership skills.

Web Conference Room Marketing Strategies

Shuffling your Web Conference Room Trainings

As an experienced web conference room trainer, I wanted to share a little insite about shuffling the content of web conference room trainings. This is really a marketing strategy.

I have many web conference room topics that I train on over a couple of months time. I have found that if I shuffle the topics and only repeat a training every month or so I keep a higher attendance in my web conference room.

Many times I will have just finished training on a subject and have people start asking when I'll be training on that topic again. I have found if I let the anticipation grow for at least a few weeks, give them just the MP3 recording of the last training, by the time I'm ready to train again on that subject not only with the people who are asking show up, but they bring friends with them.

MP3 recordings are good but it's not like being in the live class. They can't see the pages I'm pulling up in the browser or what I'm bringing to the white board.

Sometimes I sit back and think how web conference room trainings have impacted my business and I'm blown away. Most people when they are looking for a new business opportunity want to sponsor under someone who is available to train them and show them the ropes so to speak. When you have a regular training schedule of many web conference room trainings weekly it's impressive to that new person and it assures them that someone is as close as their computer to help them.

Web Conference Room Braging Rights

Just last week I had a someone contact me about what I did online. I was funny he was telling me how he had just joined this "HOT new company" due to launch next week. He said his sponsor was very successful.. made mega bucks in another venture and is now starting her own venture and will be training him.

I just had to sit back and smile. I heard this story so many times before.. it's crazy. So I asked who this "superstar" was.. did a google search.. and just as I thought he had been feed a line. This person was listed once on Google for a myspace page at #75. (She had a common name most of the results were about someone else NOT the "Superstar")

I went on to ask what kind of training had this "superstar" promised. I got the answer "Oh they are going to be doing the first phone call this week" It's sad when I see this happen. Now maybe this "New Company" will be one of the few that make it and maybe this "Superstar" will really take a hold and start training. The odds are against it though.

Once I shared my regular web conference training schedule and the track record of a couple of successful businesses. The "HOT new company" and the promise of the " Superstar" training didn't look near as appealing.

Think about the power of web conference room trainings. If I didn't have regular scheduled web conference room trainings, this conversation wouldn't have been near as simple. One nice thing about marketing on the net it's not hard to verify information. A "Superstar" better be able to back up the claims with content in Google.

Giving your Web Conference a Professional Flare

There has been some talk lately about having live video from the web conference rooms.

I personally think that's when I would bow out of training if we had live video. One of the reason's I got out of the corporate world was to live a more relaxed lifestyle. My business name "Barefoot in the Garden" pretty much gives you an idea how I dress to do web conferences. I've done my time in the corporate world and on capital hill and don't plan to go back.

One nice thing about web conferenceing you can have a professional style with your conferences without the business dress. The way you configure your web conference room and the home page says a lot about you. The music you play before the conference starts and your voice quality say's a lot about you.

I do think it's important to have professional looking picture taken and show at some time during a web conference presentation. I don't think is should be a live picture though.

Web Conference Room Trainings and Podcasting

It's been a crazy week for me. Last Friday my Barefoot Secret Healthy Business was featured on Oprah, making my phones ring constantly. New business is good I love it, but it's definatly gotten me out of my normal routine from web conferencing information.

Friday is generally my planning day for next weeks web conference room trainings. I was able to accomplish my usual scheduling of web conferences for next week. Here is a link to my event schedule: http://events.barefootsuccess.net

I still don't think we have realized the power of the web conference room features. The new VereConference web conference rooms have an awesome recording feature in them that are perfect for uploading for podcasts. Their is no need to change the bit rate with these recordings so it's very simple to kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak.

For the last couple of weeks I've been recording my web conference room trainings and loading them up on talkshoe. I just got an email today that itunes has approved my podcasts and is hosting them on their site. I really don't know alot about itunes but I do know it gets lots of traffic. Lots of traffic equals more listeners which in turns more people learn about what we are doing with web conference rooms. It's a win win situation.

One nice thing about podcasting in this way it doesn't take very much more time to add podcasting to your daily routine. By using the web conference rooms to train and record at the same time you will grow your listener base more rapidly. Many people on the go like podcasts because they can just download each training to their ipod and listen while doing a daily routine away from the computer.

I know if I were new to internet marketing online I sure would be considering this a good marketing strategy to reach out and bring people into my business. It's very cost and time effective to mesh 2 methods (web conference room training and podcasting) in to one.

Recruitment and Web Conference Rooms

Have you ever thought about web conference rooms as recruitment tools? I really hadn't before today. Here is what I mean...

I had some contact me today from an email I sent out. The email was about network marketing, but the person contacting me was asking about web conference rooms. I'm not a big email marketer by any means. I probably only send out one email blast every 6 weeks to 2 months. What I have found... when I do send out an occasional email I get better response.

The person contacted me asking if I was trying to recruit her. My question to her was..."What do you think I'm trying to recruit you for?" She replied, "for a VereConference web conference room." I said, "Well only if you need a VereConference web conference room larger than you have now." As our text conversation went on, I decided to take it into the web conference room and find the real reason she was contacting me.

By the time our conversation in the web conference room was finished, I realized that she really liked having a 3 person web conference room. What she really wanted to know is how I was able to recruit online and get enough people into my web conference room to warrant having a larger room. The root of the consern for her was recruiting, that's why she asked me the question about me trying to recruit her.

Without being able to take her into the web conference room to have a conversation I couldn't get to know the REAL reason she contacted me in the first place. I really don't think a phone conversation would have worked in this instance. It took time and helping her understand how the web conference rooms work to get her to open up and be straight with me.

In my web conference room announcements I generally target certain audiences calling out their name so to speak, such as this training is for people who... Web Conference Room Trouble Shooting Guide

Here are some troubleshooting techniques I use when someone can't access the web conference room. Generally this happens only the first time trying to enter the web conference room.

On the log in page of the Vereconference web conference room there is a snipit piece of code that has to save on your computer for you to access the web conference room. Generally this is an automatic process. Sometimes depending on your computer settings though a pop up blocker or fire wall will get in the way and not let this code load properly.

If you are having trouble accessing the web conference rooms you will need to allow pop up's, change your active X settings and sometimes adjust your firewall settings. Once the code is downloaded on your computer you can re-adjust back to the orginal settings.

If you have been accessing the web conference rooms, but all of a sudden one day you can't access them. Here are some general trouble shooting techniques. First start off deleting your temporary internet files and cookies from your computer. Run a anti-spyware program to remove any spyware you may have on your computer. Shut your computer off and unplug it for 10 seconds. Then reboot your computer and try accessing the web conference room again.

If you have taken off the Microsoft Java and installed Sun Java you shouldn't have problems with spyware. It's my understanding the new Microsoft Vista comes with the Sun Java engine so hopefully running the anti-spyware programs won't be nessary down the road.

Most of the time if you go through these trouble shooting steps you will then be able to access the web conference rooms. These are trouble shooting techniques I use for many instances not just entering web conference rooms.

Web Conference Room Training can Drive Teachers Nuts!

I guess I should re-phrase that a little. Cindy McAsey's web conference room trainings can drive teachers nuts! When I first started doing web conference room trainings I really didn't mean for this to happen. Now it's very obvious to me that when another teacher enters my web conference room for a training they can't help but speak up.

Let me explain...

I write my web pages not only for surfers to enjoy but for people who are like me to find them. My web pages are written from the heart and I don't correct the misspellings that don't stand out too much. I have found that leaving the words as I normally write brings more people like me from Google and other search engines that spell the same way I do. IT DRIVES TEACHERS NUTS though especially english teachers.

When teachers attend my web conference room trainings, they always speak up. I generally just smile and explain why I do this and how it has helped my business.

I guess the moral of this is the internet is like a huge ocean and in that ocean there are lots of fish. In my web conference rooms in a sense I'm fishing for people who are like me. I'm really not looking for the fish that aren't like me because there are so many other fish in the sea that are like me.... those are the fish I want.

It's amazing what you can learn about people's nature in web conference rooms.

Web Conference Room Training on Internet Marketing Strategies

My passion is really teaching and sharing my knowledge via web conference rooms. At one time I was going to release a whole training course, but I find that live interactive web conference room trainings are much better.

Web Conference Rooms for Recording Podcasts and more

As you might have figured out by now I love working online and utilizing web conference rooms as a way to reach out to the online world. I've just started doing podcasting and don't think I've quite figured out exactly all the speed controls when it comed to recording.

This morning I recorded my training in the Veretekk web conference room. When I first listened to it from my computer I sounded like I was in a talking race. I thought I must be just really hyper in the mornings or something and just took it that I was really talking that way.

I loaded up this recording into a talkshoe podcast and listened again and I sounded fine.(or at least not too fast) I love the sound quality of the web conference rooms vs.the podcasting software I've tried, It's crystal clear and your words come out very crisp.

If you don't have to edit or add something to your podcast it's very easy to use the web conference room for recording podcasts. I'm really think I'll suggest as an added feature to the Vereconference web conference rooms to have an edit feature. I'll report back here, if that is something that is possible.

Web Conference Room Veretekk Birthday Report

Yesterday was a wonderful spring day here in KS. I spent the day with my family relaxing and outside doing what I love the most, gardening.

Every Sunday night I log into the Veretekk Web Conference Room to get weekly updates. Last night however I just ran upstairs and started the recording feature in the web conferene room. As I was listening to the recording this morning I realized it was Veretekk's birthday!

Thank goodness for the recording feature! Several web conference room trainers came to the mic with happy birthday wishes. Tom (CEO) in his usual motivational way went through some history about Veretekk and what the community does to empower others.

This morning I was thinking about all the wonderful people I've met via web conference rooms. What is amazing to me is how many things I have in common with many of these people. When I look at the Veretekk web conference room master distributor team. I think there is only one person that even lives in the same state as I do. Chances are I probably won't ever meet in person any of these people, but at the same time we are able to share our lifestyles with each other.

We have teachers, bus drivers, windshield repair men, grandparents, disabled, and of course professional internet marketers all on this team. I just finished posting my web conference room trainings for the week. It should be a good week of learning having fun and more. I've learned if you can't have fun in your business it's time to do something different.

I'll be starting off the week in the Vereconference Web Conference Room on Monday evening at 7PM PST. This will be an open session for anyone wanting to learn about Vereconference web conference rooms and how to use them. If there is time I'll be going into some advanced features of web conference rooms too.

On Tuesday early morning.. I love early morning trainings by the way... at 5 AM PST I'll be talking all about blogs, blogging and RSS feeds. This online training is probably my favorite training I do, because I love blogs, RSS feeds and the whole concept. I generally have a full class so come early and sit back and enjoy the prelude music.

On Wednesday at 5 PM PST I'll be walking students through configuring the Veretekk system. I generally only do this class about once a month. I crazy there are so many trainers in Veretekk but we all teach so differently. This is a class you won't want to miss if you want to see how I configure and work the Veretekk System.

On Thursday I end out the week with an evening class at 7PM PST. This is a fun class in my barefoot business conference center. Generally we talk about our success and failures for the week, get educated about the products, business, and just get to know each other.

Web Conference Rooms for Recruiting New Reps.

There are so many uses for web conference rooms. One way I use web conference rooms is to recruit new distributors in my primary business.

Put your self in your prospects shoes. They are shopping for a distributor in your primary company. First they call another distributor and ask how do your train your new reps. This person answers. "Oh we have a weekly conference call." This new prospect gets on the conference call line, first is greeted by " this is a service of freeconferencecall.com." Then comes on the call with lots of back ground noise because someone doesn't know how to mute their phone. The new prospect isn't impressed.

Then this new prospect comes to you website. They might see that you are a validated veretrainer. They might not know what that means but they are impressed! Next you ask them to come to your weekly web conference or better yet line up a private one on one session to help them be comfortable entering and using your web conference room.

Who do you think that new prospect is going to choose to do business with? I would think if you have anything in common with that prospect at all they will do business with you. You have shown them you are up to date on the latest technology your all ready a trainer and you were willing to teach them one on one how to use the web conference room.

I realize some of recruiting new distributor comes with experience and that is one of the biggest downfalls in the MLM industry. This morning was a day full of questions in the Veretekk web conference room training. The subject of the day was how to drive traffic to your portals, hence getting more premium leads for your business opportunity. I don't think there is anyone online who doesn't want to grow there business.

I really appreciated the text messaging feature in the web conference room today. I did get to a point though I felt like questions were being fire hosed at me. Sometimes though I sit back an compare web conference rooms to phone conferences. There is really no comparasion in a phone conference call you can't text message. What generally happens you wait till the end of the call and they open it up for questions and then it's who ever can blert out their question the loudest for fastest that gets answered.

I'm so glad I don't do conference calls anymore. Sometimes I just wish more people would wake up a see web conference rooms for what they are. I know it will take time for the masses to understand the power of web conference rooms. Just like the internet 15 years ago. Back then many people didn't understand the power on the internet, now more and more people do. I feel the same thing will happen with web conference rooms.

Early this morning I had a web conference room training. It was a typical training at least I thought on communicating using your Veretekk system. It had been awhile since training on that subject in the web conference room.

Actually I have screen shots of most of the screens in Veretekk so all I need to do is open up the file. Today I learned a lesson though... if it has been awhile since you have taught on a piticular subject you are probably better off with just doing new screen shots as you talk. At least for me anyway. I spent more time looking for the correct slide than it would have taked just to make a new screen shot.

Once you become comfortable with training... taking a screen shot is so simple and a natural progression of training in the web conference room.

I'm very spoiled now with the white board capabilities, especially the little pointer. When you are training on a detailed website such as Veretekk it sure is easier to have a pointer to point out exactly what part of the page you are talking about.

I can still remember getting accused of sounding like a flight attendent when I started web conference room training in Veretekk. I was doing the same configuration training every week and it was before we had white board capabilities. Back then we had to explain to people where we wanted them to click.

I would start off my web conference room training with Go to your main system home page and look at the left hand side at the horizontal bars that vertically go down the page. NO Wonder HUH...

Now I just take a picture and put it on the white board. Then we have this handy little pointer so instead of explaining we can just point to it. Boy have I come a long way since then, now I rarely talk about the same subject so now more flight attendent voice dull drums for me! Oh how I love web conference rooms for training!

Web Conference Rooms of the Future

My imagination is flowing on the web conference room forum. I don't even remember who it was that mentioned about having a blogfather hologram go get people who didn't come to a web conference room training. I was just thinking how would feel if a training was starting and the web conference room blogfather came and wisked me away from the garden. I might have to put shoes on and kick em.

But then I thought gosh that wouldn't happen with a web conference room hologram, because remember Veretekk is all about being verified. There would have to be a control that the web conference room attendee would go in and set as a reminder so to speak.

It's hard to tell what will develop out of all the web conference room idea's that are being mentioned at the web conference room forum. I know one thing when a group of people are teamed together like we are as master distributore and we start coming up with ways the web conference rooms could be enhanced it truly amazing what will come about.

I just had another thought to share about web conference rooms. The VereConference room is state of the art technology for today's standards. Our imaginations have been running strong here on this web conference room forum.

Currently web conference rooms take care of seeing and hearing, but what about smelling and feeling. Now I'll have to say by seeing and hearing it triggers feelings, but what about smells. If you have ever seen Emeril Live... he talks about smell-o-vision. How cool would that be to add smell to our web conference rooms.

If web conference rooms had the ability to transport smell today mine would smell like the fresh scent of spring liliac's. My computer is located on an second story open balcony area in front of a large window and right outside are full grown liliacs that line the driveway. This time of year it's perfect to get a strong wiff of the liliac's.

Think about how much added value there would be add to web conference rooms with "Vere-smell". I bet the cooking show folks would be all over that technology.

So... what do you think? Would you want "Vere-smell" in your web conference room?

Web Conference Room Report from Last Saturday's Contest

Last Saturday I spoke about the contest Al Turnquist was doing over at Mentors on a Mission. It was a great contest to get people to attend his web conference. He had over 100 people attend the web conference last Saturday. He was touting he would make $10,000 for some lucky person in his program.

Last night he did a report on his results in the web conference room. It's kind of funny the name of one of his training courses is called Make Money or Make Excuses. Unfortunatly that is how he started out his report was with excuses. He was planning on getting enough sales for "Danielle" (the luck winner with the most unique name) to earn her $10,000 4 days time.

After Al made all of his excuses telling us he only worked 4 hours on promoting Danielle's site. He puts Danielle on the mic and asks here to tell everyone what she had made. You have to realize this whole time I'm sitting back and just listening as a participant in this web conference. Anyway Danielle gets on the mic and says she had 2 gold sales ($1000) and a couple of more in the works. So bottom line Al earned Danielle $2000 instead of $10,000 by the web conference deadline.

Both Al and Danielle were pretty sure though there would be Platinium sale by end of the week. That would put Danielle's earnings up to $5000. Not bad for 4 hours work.
I was really suprised there weren't more people show up for the last nights web conference though. I guess maybe many were disapointed they didn't win and have Al working for them.

I think the whole contest concept was a good idea to get people to come to a web conference room though.

Web Conference Rooms Sound Quality

Today I had a goal of doing my first podcast and getting it over to the folks at 10minutelessons.com. I have to say I'm spoiled with recording in the web conference rooms. I decided I needed to get out of my box and use a podcasting service that allowed editing of my podcast. I choose out of many free podcasting services available online.

It took me most of the day to figure out how every thing works and how to edit clips and add tags. It wasn't the software that was so difficult it was the user. It just takes me a while when I need to learn something new. I finished my project and uploaded it to the talkshoe server. I have to say I was disapointed in the sound quality. It was nothing like the recordings I had done in the web conference room.

Web Conference Rooms the Training Class Room

This morning when I was doing my early morning training in the Veretekk web conference room and I think I embarrassed some of the class students. I had announced that this training was day 2 of a 2 day training. On day 1 I had given assignments to be completed and turned in as show and tell the next day so to speak.

I kind of assumed that some of the people attending my web conference room classes were just attending to be there and not apply, so I decided to give home work.

Here were the results. On day one I had 20+ students in my web conference room. On day 2 I had 11 and many of them were different than the day before. I had one student that literly made herself sick over trying to accomplish the assignment. The students that completed the assignemnt and put to use what I was asking did an excellent job. I gave them stars and a A+.

The people who just attended the second day and not the first didn't get to show their work, because they didn't come the first day. The person who had gotten sick with worry told me she wasn't ready yet and needed to get her life in order before trying to accomplish a task like this.

Then there were the people who didn't even log into the web conference room the second day... who know what happened to them. My guess is either something came up or they didn't want to be embarrassed by not having completed the assignment.

Bottom line it told me the type of people I had attending my web conference room.

Web Conference Rooms are made for live interactive communication. If you are just getting started hosting conferences it might seem like a tough road ahead to draw a live audience to listen to what you have to say. Here are some tips to get participants into your web conference rooms.

1. Schedule your conference on a consistent day and time so that your audience knows when to join you.

2. Choose an interesting and descriptive web conference name so that people who might be interested will “get it” just from the title.

3. Always have at least two future web conferences scheduled so that when one show finishes, your listeners know when to join you again.

4. Publicize the regular day + time + time-zone of your live web conference everywhere possible. Put it in your blog, in your email signature, on message boards and forums, on your MySpace page, etc., and have your friends do the same.

5. Build a list of friends and participants to invite to every episode.

6. Remember many of your listeners will hear your recorded web conference before they discover your live web conference room. During your web conference recording, tell those "off-line" listeners when your web conference is live (e.g., “Join us live on Wednesdays at 9:00 PM Eastern Time.”) and highlight the benefits of joining live (e.g., “You can text chat with other listeners.”).

7. During your live web conference, let them know how to contact you frequently. When people contact you with questions or compliments, ask them to suscribe to your web conference room notices.

8. Recruit interesting guests and have live contests and giveaways – give your listeners a reason to join live and to interact!

9. Keep in mind that participating can be intimidating. Encourage people to move from listening off-line, to listening live, to chatting, to talking. It may take time.

10. Have fun and be entertaining! People will want to join you again and again. For the host, and for listeners, it’s fun to connect with people that you like; people who share your interests.

I know this may seem like a long list of to do things just to get people into your web conference room. My question to you is how bad do you want to have a successful web conference? If you want it bad enough you will do the things required to be a success.

Web Conference Room Business Lesson

I've always had the mindset there are no mistakes in life there are only lessons and yesterday many of the web conference room master distributors who were cut from the team learned a big lesson.

Last night in the Veretekk web conference room Tom P. announced the new Vereconference master distributors team. It was a good lesson for all of those who orginally stepped up to the plate and said they wanted to be a master distributor. Many of the orginal team didn't follow through and do what they were instructed to do, and late yesterday afternoon they were cut from the team.

The web conference room forum is now open only to master distributors who made the cut! Everyone else can just watch from the sidelines as the web conference room forum continues to feed google with information it likes about web conference rooms.

About a week ago I tried to play mother hen and tried motivate those who I could see failing to do the tasks to stay a MD. Many stepped up to the plate and did a few posts, but then fell off again and didn't stay with it. To qualify to remain on the team all it took was 10 posts to the web conference room forum. Really not that many at all over a 2 week period.

Many of the MD distributors had the time to post all day long to the exclusive skype MD team, but didn't come over and post to the forum. It's really sad... because posting to a forum is really no different than writing a text message on skype. Here they would have gotten credit for it. DUH... it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

I guess really part of being on the web conference room team is listening and following directions. For many I guess they just weren't ready to take on writing about and promoting web conference rooms. For me it comes very natural, I live, eat and breath web conference rooms on a daily basis, hosting several trainings a week, and reporting on a few other trainings a week. Educating the public about web conference rooms is just like having a friendly conversation about a good book.

In the near future Tom and Mike will we doing a call for another Master Distributor team.(not a web conference room team) Hopefully only the serious will apply, because they are just waisting their time if they say they are going to do it and go to web conference room meetings and don't follow through. I hate to say this but if they run their businesses that way they won't be successful. No wonder the statistics say 98% of the businesses fail.

My personal opinion (and those who attend my web conference room trainings know this) is their reason for doing their business in the first place isn't strong enough. You have to have a very strong why to be successful in business and until new business wantabe's figure this out they won't succeed.

This was probably one of the best business lessons these Master Distributors could have learned and the best part is they will have a second chance when Veretekk announces another master distributor team for justhemail.com. I bet if any of these same people apply they won't make the mistake of not doing what they are asked to do. If they do it will be another lesson learned. Like I said earlier there are no mistakes in life only lessons and they are repeated until they are learned.

Happy St. Patricks Day! Are you wearing your green? Today is a good day for contests and with the luck of an Irish name like McAsey who knows I might win.

I don't know about you but I love contests. This morning Al Turnquist over at mentors on a mission has thought up a awesome contest to get people to join in on his web conference room today.

I really respect Al and can remember talking to him about web conference rooms a few years ago. At that time he wasn't ready to give up the phone conference calls. He had built his name on being a powerful on the phone and wasn't ready to hear it.

Last August I got a call from him about a new program he was releasing called "Predator" and he was going to do the training via web conference rooms. I was excited about all he was telling me, but at the same time very reserved because I knew it would take lots of effort and time to put the support staff together and pull if off. I've been quietly watching Al add new things to this program and make it stable.

Just this week I've been starting to see things happen over are Mentors on a Mission that are showing some stability that I've been looking for. This contest for one, will be hosted in a web conference room and all the contestants are to log in with the most interesting name they can think of.

The person with the most interesting log in name will get Al to personally promote his site for 3 days and he is touting to make that lucky person $10,000 in that amount of time. I'm pretty sure I know how he will do this and can almost bet he will pull it off. He is a master at what he teaches and would be very suprised if it doesn't happen.

I just finished my web conference room training schedule for next week. On Monday I'll be doing a web conference room question and answer session at 9 PM CDT in the evening. With daylight savings time it's hard for me to settle down and get back online before that time in the evening. Web Conference Rooms for Education

Last Sunday evening Mike Darling shared his wonderful antarctic experiences with us in the Veretekk web conference room. It was really like we were setting there and experiencing being part of the trip ourselves as the many pictures flashed across the web conference room browser. At the time I never thought about the educational value, I was just enjoying the pictures.

This morning I go check out the web conference room forum and Alan King one of the master distributors and elementary school teacher was commenting on the Mike sharing his antartic experiences too. Then I remembered a press release I just sent out last week announcing Will Stegar's 1,200-mile, four-month-long dogsled trek across the Canadian Arctic’s Baffin Island.

On Saturday night in the Veretekk web conference room we learned how to stream television shows online. Gosh the light bulbs started going off in my head. National Geographic is covering the Will Stegar expedition, why not put all of this together and use web conference rooms to educated our future generations of explorers. By using web conference rooms you could unite 2 classrooms across the building or across the world it really doesn't matter the location.

Editing Web Conference Room Presentations

I've been having trouble figuring out how to edit web conference room files. One of our Vereconference master distributors figured it out yesterday. I'm so glad to be part of a team that has techie's that like looking at html code! Here are Richard's instructions for editing a web conference room recording:

Cindy,

I was able to edit the bin file of the web conference room recording
for Sunday Evening Conference 3/11/2007. I am not sure if I can
explain what I did, well enough.

I used EditPad Pro in order to see the hex code or not. I do not know
if I can do that in EditPlus. I loaded the .bin file and started looking for
the affending url that breaks out of the web conference room. I found the
first one and it look like this: at the beginning was a character that I
cannot duplicate here, but it looks like a superscript backwards L
couple of spaces an then 0^http://www.inetekk.com/training/index.gold.html then another
superscript forwards L M Darling

I deleted all of that and it plays ok until the next instance of that same
url. Deleted that one, too. It did not have the forwards superscript L.

Once I deleted those two url's it worked like a champ. All that time
editing, I did not get out of the edit in case I had to undo the last edit.

So, that was my adventure in editing the web conference room
recording. I am working on getting the whole folder up on my website.
When that is working I will let you know.

Web Conference Room Entertainment

Today I was going to provide a little entertainment before my web conference room training. I quickly figured out I had created a monster yesterday by putting on a radio button on my home page and having it play automatically. It was a good idea, but I didn't think about people coming in late to class or the fact that early in the morning it would be talk radio not music.

I quickly logged into my website and removed the radio button. I'm re-thinking the idea of putting just one radio station button on any site much less in the web conference room. I think people need choices on what to listen to, and choosing the radio station for them it going to be a hard task. What would be really cool is to be able to stream music in that we select. I'm sure there is a way to do it... I'm just going to have to go back to the drawing board on this one and not use my web conference room home page be the guinie pig.

Awesome Web Conference Training Last Night

Last night I went to a couple of the Veretekk Web Conference Room trainings. They were awesome. The first class I recorded it and listened later. It was Tom Prendergast's walk on water weekly class. He is always so motivational and even though I didn't get to listen to very much live the recordiing feature came in handy. We all live in different time zones and for me 6pm is supper time on our Kansas farm.

I was able to listen live to the next class that Tom did. He showed us how to put streaming audio and video on our web sites. Talk about a first class training. I'm still working on the recording of this training and when I get it edited I'll be posting it on my "Barefoot Marketing Strategies" Channel.

The real kicker of this advanced class was homework! Now I have to get busy and actually put into action what I learned.

If that wasn't enough. I decided to sit in on Butch Hamilton's SEO training. I was planning on multi-tasking while listening to see if I heard anything new. Well it wasn't one of those classes I expected from Butch in the web conference room. I ended up listening to the class and guess what! He gave home work too. I thought to myself that's what I get for attending class. Now I've got 2 more projects to do this week. This is really a good thing, because it expands my knowledge.

I've got lots on my plate this week, but I love doing this stuff and stretching my brain.

Everyday I have to be thankful for the technology we have with web conference rooms!

Web Conference Room Training Schedule for next week.

Every week on Friday I make my training schedule up for the next week. All of these trainings are posted several places on the net to get the word out. Here is the process I go through every Friday to announce trainings in my web conference room.

1. I post in the Deskview Live Training Announcements
2. I post the Veretekk trainings in the Veretekk Calendar
3. I list all of my trainings in my web conference room back office calendar and check the box to be publicly displayed.
4. Then I make a detailed announcement of each and every training on my "Barefoot Marketing Strategies" Channel and put it under the catagory "Online Training | Webconferencing"
5. Then I go to my "Barefoot Business Conference Center site and update the event schedlule.

I know this might seem like a lot of work to go through to make an announcement about training, but this way the word gets out to lots of people. One of the most difficult parts of starting to train is getting people to come to your training. I have found by going through these steps every Friday I have full web conference rooms when I do my trainings.

Web Conference Rooms Changing your Schedule for Conferences

Most of you know I'm a creature of habit and that is one of the reason's I've been successful in my online business. Every week on Friday I plan a schedule of all the trainings I'll be doing the next week in my web conference room. Generally once that schedule is set I don't change it.

This week I learned my neice Abby would be playing in the Kansas State 4A HS Basketball tournament. This is one of those once in a life time events that I sure didn't want to miss, so it was nessary to change the schedule of my web conference room.
Here is what I did....Changed all of my online schedule's, I post announcements on a blog, VereConference, my web conference room website, and in Deskview. I also sent a text message to the group of people who generally come to this weekly get together.

Just this morning when I went to my web conference room, I noticed I had forgotten to clear the white board and it had my event schedule on it from earlier in the week. Then I got this great idea... all I would have to do is take a screen shot of my new post on my blog stating the time change and circle in bright red. This way if anyone would happen to come into the web conference room at the regular scheduled time they would see the new time.

Personally I think it is best to set a time and leave it, but when instances like this arrive at least there are good alternatives to getting the word out.

Web Conference Rooms for Private and Personal Documents

There are so many uses for web conference rooms. Have you ever felt you need to travel several hours just to talk to and share some private and personal documents? With our new web conference rooms there is no need to travel any further than your computer screen.

Here is what you do:
1.Set an appointment with the person to meet you in your web conference room.
2.Once both of you are in the web conference room go to your moderator settings and " lock the room" making it secure.
3. Then take a screen shot from your web conference room of the document and bring it up on the white board.

You can either use your microphones like a walkie talkie and talk back and forth or use the text messaging feature. Both work very well to communicate and express yourself. If desired you can use the white board to write text or draw on the document. Once you are done you can save it onto your computer. If a signature is needed you can simply fax the document to the person have them sign it and fax it back.

This is just one of the many uses of web conference rooms.

I was just listening to the Kenny Cheseney called "Big Star" and it dawned on me one of the reasons I have such a passion for training in my web conference room is because I can get my message out to lots of people without actually looking at them. Now I'm what you would call a shy person at all, but I am avery picky person and everything has to be just so so. In the web conference rooms you don't have to dress up or do your hair you just come as you are.

I love being able to stay at home on the farm and still work and communicate with people. It's really the best of both worlds for me. I really appreciate today's technology that we have available to us. Gosh what would we do without Google and our web conference rooms. I would have a hard time surviving I know that.

Web Conference Rooms, the Event Conference Place of the Next Century

Do you ever wonder what our world will look like 100 years from now? OR how about 20 years from now. I believe that web conference rooms will be as common as the the telephone in the next 20 years.

When Corporate America fully grasps this technology and utilizes web conferencing as a way to teach and train their business associates the green house emissions will be lowered.
